Faith Formation
Grades Pre-K through 12
Knowledge and understanding of the Faith is a most reliable path to encountering Jesus Christ and opens the way to respond to his call to discipleship, and so, every baptized believer, regardless of age or circumstance, has a right to receive a lifelong systematic formation in the faith (GDC, 167). This catechesis, which leads to and flows from prayer and worship, finds its most vital expression within the context of the local community of faith. IMPORTANT CHILDREN’S FAITH FORMATION UPDATE: Please note that for the 2026-27 faith formation year, Sacred Heart Church will be making a shift in offering standard children’s faith formation instead of The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) as in previous year. Standard children’s faith formation for the 2026-27 faith formation year is available for children in school grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. Sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:00 pm beginning in the fall. This year's faith formation registration fee is $50 per student. No Sacred Heart/St. Joseph the Worker family will be turned away from participating in our Faith Formation programs due to financial need; contact the parish office for more information.

Sacramental Preparation:
First Reconciliation and First Communion preparation (2nd grade) are available to students who have participated in Faith Formation in 2025-2026. Click on the words in bold for more information about First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.
