St. Vincent de Paul Sacred Heart Conference

Who We Are

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads men and women to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are in need, in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was begun in Paris in 1833. The first U.S. conference started in St. Louis in 1845. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is present in over 150 countries, with 800,000 members and 1,500,000 volunteers.

What We Do

  • Provide financial and resource assistance to any family in need regardless of religious affiliation in the north Clark County area, specifically Battle Ground, Yacolt, Amboy, and the surrounding area.

  • Those requesting assistance leave a message on our help line and a volunteer returns the call.

  • Two volunteers meet in person with them to determine how best to assist.

  • Throughout the year, we collect non-perishable food items for Ozanam House, the SVdP food bank located at 11607 NE 87th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98662.

  • At Christmastime, we provide food boxes and gift cards to struggling families.
