The Mission of Sacred Heart Youth Ministry is to know, love and serve God, having encountered the person of Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life; to equip the young Church to be disciples of Christ, virtuous sons and daughters of the Father, led and taught by the Holy Spirit.
Fraternus & Fidelis
A Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Disciples
Mondays 6:30-8:00 PM. Sacred Heart Parish.
The need has never been greater to have positive role models for young people in our community. Fraternus/Fidelis is aimed at mentoring our youth in grades 5th through 12th but is open to men and women of all ages in our parish. It is based upon the virtues of faith, hope, love, temperance, justice, fortitude and temperance, and how these virtues relate to Scripture.
Mentoring Boys and Girls into Virtuous Catholic Men and Women.
Fraternus and Fidelis meet Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Sacred Heart, for youth in grades 5-12 (yearly late September/early October to early June).
Registration begins in September; cost is $50 per participant in 2019-20.
Fraternus and Fidelis meet on a weekly basis, do monthly service projects, and go on retreats/excrusions. The weekly meetings consist of food, games, video clips, and small group discussions based on Sunday Mass Readings, the Catechism and writings of the saints. In addition to Fraternus and Fidelis, Sacred Heart Youth Ministry offers other opportunities to get involved through service to the community and local events and conferences.
