Faith Formation and Sacramental Preparation (1st Reconciliation, 1st Eucharist & Confirmation)
Knowledge and understanding of the Faith is a most reliable path to encountering Jesus Christ and opens the way to respond to his call to discipleship, and so, every baptized believer, regardless of age or circumstance, has a right to receive a lifelong systematic formation in the faith (GDC, 167). This catechesis, which leads to and flows from prayer and worship, finds its most vital expression within the context of the local community of faith. The local Church and each parish are responsible for providing faith formation. - Many Gifts, One Spirit, Archdiocese of Seattle Policies)

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) at 10:30 AM Mass at Sacred Heart. Children are dismissed after the Collect Prayer and return to Mass at the Presentation of the Gifts. A team of one adult and a teen helper leads the children in the Mass readings and helps them better understand the readings. If there is enough interest, we will expand CLOW to the 8:30 AM Mass at Sacred Heart. We need your help! Please contact the parish office if you would like to volunteer to be a leader.
